I nearly threw these away because I was having a clear-out but then I thought, no, somebody might like to have these. I bought these magazines in 1979 to 1981 and I was such a motorbike nut in those days that I bought the binder to keep them all safe. So here they are. A dozen copies of Classic Bike magazine packed with nostalgic articles and test-drives for all sorts of mouthwatering old bikes. All the famous names are there: BSA, Triumph, Norton, AJS, Matchless, Vincent, Sunbeam, Arial, Indian, Harley, Royal Enfield, Velocette, etc, etc. A particular feature is the full page colour pictures on glossy paper of real classic bikes from Yesteryear. You could cut them out and frame them.This magazine is still being produced and these days they advertise it like this: Classic Bike magazine is packed full of great bikes, rebuild projects, practical workshop tips, buying advice and fantastic tales of full-noise, high-octane, un-filtered motorcycling. It doesn’t matter if your first bike was a BSA Bantam or a Yamaha FS1-E, this is the magazine for you. That was what I thought about it, too, when I saved all those magazines and stored them in a binder in my bookcase. And, to be honest, I’ve hardly looked at them since except for the odd nostalgic hour when I’ve taken them out and had a good read. I’d much rather not send them to be pulped if someone would like them – that’s why I’m starting at a low price and offering to pay the postage. I want my old mags to go to a good home – to somebody who will love them and read them as avidly as I once did. Now’s your chance – one time only – when they’re gone – they’re gone!”

This issue of Great Western Rly Journal is in excellent condition throughout.
