This one is entitled His Majesty King Edward VIII. You can find the first of this pair listed in my other advert,. This item is magazine size and printed on good quality paper which is showing some signs of age in places but it is about 76 years old. This article is about 76 years old.. This appears to be one of a pair issued at around the same time,. This is the first,: The Life Of King George V,.. and the second which I have listed in a seperate advert is,: His Majesty King Edward VIII.. Condition is fairly goood considering it’s age,. It shows some signs of foxing and the cover is slightly torn around the staples and the lower staple appears to have pulled away, so that the middle pages are slightly loose,. Brighton Official Royal Jubilee Souvenir & Programme, May 6-11, 1935 …(King George The 5TH) Brighton Official Royal Jubilee Souvenir & Programme dated May 6-11, 1935. Presented with the compliments of the Brighton Coporation. This magazine commemorates The Silver Jubilee of King George V.. ( King George The 5TH ) in 1935,…77 years ago.. This magazine has got 40 pages, originally stapled but now missing.. It measures 17″x11.5″. It has been kept folded in half for much of it’s life, so there is a fold mark across the middle. Is in suprisingly good condition for it’s age. It shows some signs of foxing and the edges of the paper are scuffed in some places. There are some signs of rust marks around the staple holes. This document, laid out like a newspaper is full of historical sights of the Brighton area, most of which don’t exist anymore. It includes half page pictures and adverts with titles such as “An Artist’s impression of the New Brighton” and “Palace Pier Brighton, 35 Years Of Progress”. All in all, a fascinating glimpse into a different era. It includes at least 4 pages which are printed in colour including the outside covers.
